Historically Collagen was used to fill lines for years. Today other products are used more injectibles_lincommonly. The most common fillers used in Dr. Lin’s practice are made from Hyaluronic acid and include Belotero, Restylane, Juvederm and Perlane.  Hyaluronic acid is a normal part of the human body which is lost with age leading to facial aging such as wrinkles and a gaunter look.  Filling the face with Belotero, Restylane, Juvederm or Perlane can restore a more youthful look. These gels are injected under the skin after application of a topical or injected anesthetic and can be performed within the office with no downtime.

Dysport, Xeomin, and BOTOX® injections for facial wrinkles is one of the most popular, satisfying and effective non-surgical procedures performed by a plastic surgeon. BOTOX® works by weakening those muscles under the skin which cause wrinkles to form. It is typically painless, causes no, or minimal, redness or swelling, and has immediate recovery. It takes effect within four days and always provides a significant improvement in one’s appearances. The main uses for BOTOX® include diminishing wrinkles on the forehead, between the brows, to the crow’s feet (sides of the eyes), and to improve loose and unsightly neck muscles. BOTOX® also has utility in the treatment of migraine headaches.

 Latisse treatment for eyelash growth and making them thicker, longer, and darker. Its active ingredient (bimatoprost) was originally used in glaucoma and found to have the “side effect” of eyelash growth. It is believed that it works but increasing the amount and prolonging the duration of the hairs in the anagen (or growth) phase of eyelash cycle.
