Bio
Dr. Joseph Lin’s medical education and training accomplishments are as diverse as they are distinguished. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Biology with Honors, Cum Laude from Northwestern University. He subsequently obtained his medical degree from one of the top medical schools in the nation, the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Afterward, he shaped health care delivery while serving as a healthcare management consultant with the prestigious global consultancy firm, McKinsey and Company, in their New York office. Returning to clinical practice, he completed his internship at the Columbia University/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and his ophthalmology residency at Yale University. He then moved to Southern California when he was chosen for the UCLA orbital-facial plastic cosmetic and reconstructive surgery fellowship, one of the top facial plastic fellowships in the country. During that time, he also honed his facial cosmetic surgery skills at several top Beverly Hills private practices.
He has been recognized by many of his peers for his achievements and has been awarded the Constance Campbell Prize (Northwestern University’s Top Undergraduate Honors Thesis in Biology), the Connecticut American College of Surgeons 1st Prize Specialty Surgery Research Paper during his residency at Yale, and voted by his medical school class as “Most Likely To Be Your Personal Physician.”
He has a teaching appointment and hospital privileges at the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute and the UCLA-Ronald Reagan and UCLA-Harbor Hospitals. Currently, he publishes and speaks regularly on facial fillers, eyelid/eye-plastic, and facial surgery techniques.
Dr. Lin is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Los Angeles Society of Ophthalmology and the California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He regularly participates in community health care events including providing care at Los Angeles Care Harbor.
He resides in Pasadena with his beautiful wife and children.
