Dr. Sasha Hubschman is an ASOPRS fellowship-trained ophthalmic plastic and reconstructivesurgeon specializing in functional, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, orbit, and tear drainage system.

Dr. Hubschman earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), graduating Magna Cum Laude. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and graduated with Research Distinction. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center followed by a three-year ophthalmology residency at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute, a top 5 program. She then completed a highly competitive two-year fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary of the University of Illinois Chicago, another leading ophthalmology center. There, she received awards recognizing her clinical excellence and dedication to patient care, including the Real World Ophthalmology Outstanding Patient Advocate Award and the Guy H. Chan Jr. Fellow Education Award.

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Hubschman has remained actively involved in clinical research and medical education. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters on topics including orbital disease, thyroid eye disease, and artificial intelligence in ophthalmology. She has also enjoyed teaching ophthalmology residents and participating in global ophthalmology programs.

Dr. Hubschman chose oculoplastic surgery because it combines intricate surgery with the opportunity to restore both function and appearance. She enjoys developing long-term relationships with her patients and values the ability to make a meaningful impact on their vision, comfort, confidence, and quality of life.

Dr. Hubschman is fluent in English and French, and proficient in Spanish.

Originally from Los Angeles, Dr. Hubschman is excited to return home to care for patients throughout Southern California. She enjoys spending her free time outdoors surfing, hiking, practicing yoga, and exploring new restaurants with her husband.
