Eyelid Tumors & Skin Cancer

Eyelid Tumors & Skin Cancer

Securing a Healthy Future

Long term exposure to sun causes our eyelids to be the most common place for eyelid tumors or skin cancer to occur.

Most eyelid lesions are benign and easily treated by simple excision. The most common eyelid skin cancer types are basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. The symptoms could be a subtle bump, non-resolving “chalazion, lash loss, or ulcerating non-healing nodule. The presence of a nodule or lesion on the eyelid that grows, bleed or ulcerates should be evaluated. The diagnosis is made by examination and biopsy.

If you are seeking help for eyelid tumors or skin cancer, a qualified oculoplastic surgeon like Dr. Joseph Lin can help. Call (626)653-9395 or fill out our online contact form to schedule a consultation at one of our offices in Pasadena, West Covina, Whittier, and Pomona.
